Blair Macdonald and Oliver Clark, known collectively as Novemba, are a filmmaking team crafting documentaries and commercials with a distinctive human-centred approach. 

The pair first met doing rock jumps on the shores of Sydney at the age of 14, and have been leaping into the unknown together ever since. By fate or coincidence, they share the same birthday (you can guess the month). That early connection grew into a creative partnership defined by instinct, trust, and a shared love of storytelling.

Their films include the feature documentary Team Khan (2018), an intimate portrait of boxer Amir Khan, and the three-part series Sneaker Wars: Adidas vs Puma, released in 2025. Executive produced by David Beckham, the series traces the 75-year rivalry between Adidas and Puma. 

Their shorts Morongo and Alice, Adelaide embody Novemba’s instinctive approach to filmmaking. Shot as adventurous road trip documentaries with no fixed plan, they exist somewhere between guerrilla filmmaking and cinéma vérité and reflect Novemba’s belief that authenticity often lies in what can’t be scripted.

In the commercial space, they’ve collaborated with brands including Gatorade, Google, Samsung, VW, and the Alzheimer’s Society. Novemba’s recent work includes One Crisis Has Caused Another for Frontline19, winner of a D&AD Black Pencil and the Frank Budgen Award at the British Arrows.
